I have an operational proof-of-concept network running in Fallbrook.  I'm looking for interest in the San Diego area.

I am interested! I have two HSMM-MESH routers, and I'm working on acquiring more. I live in Rancho Pennasquitos, and I have some friends in Escondido interested in a mesh.

I'm surprised there's no "SoCal" subforum.

I put up a router in San Diego as well.    Given the range of 802.11, it's not clear how this works as a thin deployment, and only seems practical as a coordinated cluster for event or demo.   I guess I put my WRT54G up (because I had one) and now I'm reading up on what it should do. :)

Hi Steve,

There's a group starting up in Oceanside and interest in RB and Escondido.  There's also work on an SD County-wide emcomm implementation.  Another group has a successful implementation in Dana Point/San Juan Capistrano.  I encourage you to start a San Diego or So Cal forum group.

Andre, K6AH
